Victorian bush-fire book donation
South Australians collecting books for victims of the Victorian bush fires

first sorting of collected books today

Yesterday the book donation trailer was located before the Singing Gallery in McLaren Vale and we collected around 10 more boxes filled with books. It was a wonderful day for us to be in the Gallery at the spiritual market, we met so many beautiful and supportive people. Dave Clark, the owner of the Singing Gallery, has donated the entire day’s proceeds to our cause and will buy as many second hand book as he can and will bring them to our depot. Many thanks for that Dave!

This afternoon Alex and Mark will come to our house in Willunga to assist with the first sorting of the books into boxes donated by VinPak in McLaren Vale. These are recycled boxes used for shipping screwcaps for wine bottles. As you probably know McLaren Vale is one of the major wine growing regions in South Australia, with around 70+ wineries in the area. Fred of Dogridge will collect these boxes and drop them off in Willunga this morning. Later today we will post the progress and hope to give you an idea of the number of books, stay tuned.

And…. thanks heaps for all your donated books, it is going great!
