overwhelming amount of books

Yesterday early in the morning Fred and Edwin started putting the big boxes on palletts. We already filled three pallets and have one more left for now.

Late afternoon we collected most donations boxes at the businesses who are not open on Saturdays. Later this morning we make our last round and collect the remaining drop off boxes.

The result of yesterday’s collections is that our re-packing area is completely full now, the amount of books donated is overwhelming. Just to mention some of the special efforts; Willunga Library who had around 20 boxes waiting for us and Raine & Horne in Meadows, thanks to Gary, who on his own has done a letter drop to every house in Meadows and collected 30+ boxes with books; half his shopfront was filled, see for yourself.

Today we’ll spent most of the day resorting and repacking the books collected, so we can ship these to Dogridge for transport on the truck with Booth Transport on Monday.
